Amazing elk hunting season with the pack llamas

2023 turned out to be a great hunting season for us here at Madison River Pack Llamas here in Montana. We went on many trips with the pack llamas. My wife and I were each fortunate enough to harvest bulls for the llamas to pack out. One in archery and one in rifle season. Below are a few pictures of the pack llamas working.

The first rifle hunting trip of the season turned out to be a bust as it was very cold and we were hunting in a migratory area. We did see a handful of elk and deer but nothing that was worth pursuing.

Kassy and I went out later. We took 4 of the pack llamas and were able to to set up a very comfortable camp 7 miles in the backcountry. On day 2 she was able to harvest a great bull! Nugget is the pack llama who packed the rack out. He is one of our smaller llamas but has a stamina for packing that is unmatched.
