The Madison River Pack Llama Story

For 5 generations the Conlon family has been a family hiking, hunting and exploring the backcountry of Montana. Pack llamas came into the picture for our family as our desire to spend more time deep in the backcountry grew. The problem was how to do this without having to carry more and more gear. After substantial time debating the merits of various pack species it became clear that pack llamas were the superior animal.
